Ours NPORS N204 Forward Tipping Dumper course delivers practical, accredited training for operatives of site dumpers, focusing on safe, efficient use in construction, groundworks and civil engineering enviorments.

This course is ideal for both novice and experienced operators and is fully aligned with NPORS standards. Successful delegates will receive a 3 year NPORS operators card, either with or without the CSCS logo, depending on qualifications.

Who Should Attend?

New or experienced dumper operators
Site workers in construction, groundwork or landscaping
Companies needing certified plant operators
Refresher or conversion training

We train both wheeled and tracked forward tipping dumpers.

Course Content:

Introduction to NPORS and operator responsibilities
Legislation: PUWER, LOLER, HASAWA
Machine types, uses and limitations
Pre-use checks, routines maintenance and defect reporting
Loading and tipping safety
Working on slopes, uneven group and in confined areas
Site safety, signage and signals
Environmental awareness and material handling

Practical Training:

Conducting pre-start checks
Safe starting, stopping and parking procedures
Travel over rough ground and inclines
Loading, transporting and tipping materials
Working safely near excavators and other plant
Shut down and securing procedures

Training for both experienced and Novice. All courses include a theory and practical assessment. Please note the theory assessment will need to be completed before practical training/assessment will commence

How this course will help you

Existing NPORS Card Holder – No (S)NVQ Held

For operators who do not currently hold the requisite (S)NVQ, a Trained Operator card will be issued which is valid for two years from the date of application. During this two year period operators will be required to register for and achieve the requisite (S)NVQ with the unit credits applicable to the categories of plant stated on their Trained Operator card.

Do i need experience to take this course?

No, we offer novice, experienced and refresher version of the course.

What kind of dumpers do you train on?

We train on Forward Tipping Dumpers both Tracked or Wheeled. Training for swivel skip dumpers can also be arranged if requested.

Is NPORS accepted on UK construction sites?

Yes, especially when issued with the CSCS logo. NPORS cards are widely recognised across construction and civil engineering sites.

Can this course be done at our site?

Yes, we offer on-site training anywhere in Norfolk & Suffolk using your plant and facilities if suitable.
